ADVENTURE & EXPEDITION
Karrimor has come a long way since 1946, when it began in the upstairs of a shop in Lancashire, producing cycle bags. Before the end of the ‘50s, Karrimor had trademarked weathertite and pioneered the climbing rucksack with two of the era’s most eminent climbers – and just over a decade later in 1972, Karrimor was credited with inventing the best, most famous alpine sack in the world. It is this background that gives Karrimor an enviable reputation that reaches across both specialist and retail sectors.
The Karrimor SF brand was conceived in 1995 by the Karrimor team in conjunction with Deric Gollop. Deric worked on the innovations and technologies from the civilian brand to produce specialist backpacks for Special Forces and law enforcement units. Karrimor SF is a separate company from the civilian brand and operates under an International Brand Licence.
Today, many adventurers, explorers and bushcraft enthusiasts recognise that the Karrimor SF range is perfectly suited to operate in extreme environments where they put their trust in a rucksack to carry their potentially lifesaving equipment. We are currently working with a number of high profile explorers who are planning to expeditions to the North and South poles as well as desert and jungle surroundings.
The Karrimor SF Sabre range has been around for many years and is considered to be robust and well suited to professional and leisure users who demand the best from their load carriage equipment. The Karrimor SF Predator range was introduced to complement the Sabre range and stems from the developments under our Operation 3D program, providing modular capabilities with additional pockets and pouches.
